What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. Written to be read rather than merely complied with.
When you send a quote request: your name, email address, company name, country, and whatever you write in the message, plus optionally a phone number, destination port, quantity and target price. When you create an account: your email address and password, and optionally your company name and country. When you browse: aggregate, cookieless analytics recording which pages are visited and from which country, with no identifier that can be traced back to a person or a device.
Quote requests exist so we can answer them. We cannot source a product for you without knowing what you want and how to reply. Account details exist so you can save products, follow changes to them, and see the requests you have already sent. Analytics exist so we know which products are being looked at and which pages are not working. We do not build profiles, we do not sell data, and we do not use any of it for advertising.
Cloudflare hosts this site and stores its database, so all of it sits on their infrastructure. Brevo sends our email, so your address and the contents of a message we send you pass through them. When we source a product for you we tell the manufacturer what is needed, meaning the quantity, the destination and the specification, but we do not pass on your contact details unless you ask us to introduce you directly. Nobody else receives any of it.
Quote requests are kept while they are active and for as long afterwards as the commercial record is useful, because a buyer who returns in a year usually wants the same product. Accounts are kept until you close them. Email delivery logs are kept so we can answer the question of whether a message was ever sent. If you would like something removed sooner, ask and we will remove it.
You can close your account from the Profile tab of your account page at any time. Doing so removes the account, its saved products and its watchlist. If you want a copy of what we hold, or the deletion of a quote request sent without an account, email us and we will do it. There is no form and no waiting period beyond the time it takes us to read the message.
We set one cookie, and only if you sign in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts that follow you elsewhere. Our analytics are deliberately cookieless, which is why this site has no consent banner. There is nothing to consent to.
